Following the success of last week’s Brendan v Warren poll we thought we’d do another one, cos everyone likes a poll don’t they?
So this week we thought we’d take a look at the two rather questionable patriarchs who have joined the village in recent months, both seemingly committed to showing us how not to raise children.
We are of course talking about Phil and Carl. The former sets up families like they’re branches of Costa Coffee and was gloriously unmoved when his knocked up 12 year old daughter asked him not to abandon her. The latter has an unhealthy fixation on his daughters and can be blamed for at least 80% of Hollyoaks Later 2010.
We’re going to leave the dad of the O’Connor family out of this as all he does is stand around being ineffectual.
Due to some techy things going on we’ve temporarily closed this poll. Come back on Sunday 28th when we’ll (hopefully) be back up and running and vote then!

I admit I did laugh when Gabby realised she was the other woman. But Phil is a right bastard, and not in a good way.

This was a hard choice, I believe Carl has a lot more weirdly borderline incestuous action in him but Phils jumpers tipped the balance for me.
I don’t care about him dumping Amber, let’s face it we would have done it years ago.

I vote for Carl, not because of his borderline incestuousness (my new word
but because Jem and Jasmine are two of the worst actresses in the history of soaps….and maybe even the world and this leads me to wonder who they are f***ing or what the big-bad-hollyoaks people are smoking!!! Anywho I know technically i cant blame carl for this but I don’t care…..I am…

It has to be Carl for me. Phil may be a dodgy jumper wearing, disturbingly faced pillock but at least up until recently he appeared to have been doing a decent job of parenting 2 sets of children and wives. Carl only has the one set to deal with and he still can’t make a decent job of it. Maybye his mind is still always on his footballing glory days. Did you know he used to be a footballer? I’m not sure if HO have mentioned it yet (well apart from EVERY time he is one screen that is)
Oops just realised this post hasen’t mentioned Brendan at all so just thought I had better slip his name in to maintain my sanity.

This is a very very tough choice. But in the end, it has to be Phil, because he’s been crap – TWICE. Carl has only been crap once. And Phil managed to produce Amber, which is as good an argument I can think of for having the snip.
